Lori Bayer

Meet our fearless leader, whose infectious optimism and unwavering dedication, is creating change one person at a time. Lori’s natural love of people and serving others made selling and marketing an easy career path for her.

After surviving breast cancer in 2018, she became a passionate advocate for supporting breast cancer patients in her community. With the help of her husband and a few close friends, she founded Swing for the Lowcountry, more affectionately known as The Swing.

Her story of resilience and strength motivates others to join forces in the fight against breast cancer.

When she's not busy changing lives, she enjoys playing golf, mahjong, reading, gardening and crafting.



Paul Bayer

In 2016, Paul and his wife Lori returned from 11 years living overseas to retire on Daniel Island. He learned to appreciate different cultures and perspectives and is grateful to be of service to the community in the Lowcountry.

As Senior Director of Emerging Markets, Paul designed strategies and initiatives to support business growth in emerging markets.

With a combination of strong on-the-ground knowledge and international professional practices and industry expertise, Paul leveraged his extensive experience in Europe, Africa and the Middle East to help organisations understand and optimize their trade flows.

Paul has 26 years of experience in UPS's International Markets and Technology Development groups identifying strategic opportunities that enhanced the strengths of UPS’s broad product portfolio, global transportation network, and significant human capital.

Prior to joining UPS, Paul received his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Washington State University and spent 8 years in F&A and Project Management positions in the Silicon Valley area of California, USA.



Randall E. Jeffery

Randall Jeffery's career in the broadcast industry spanned forty-five years involving radio station ownership and operation in the first half followed by an industry leading role in radio station mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the last half.

His award winning Lakeland/Winter Haven, FL station launched the careers of several top major market DJ's. Later, in his M&A career, he played a significant role in strategic planning and execution leading to the growth and success of a number of the most esteemed radio station companies in the nation.

With the care and support of his Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC team, his wife Kim and a nucleus of very special Daniel Island friends, he became a 2018 cancer survivor.

Randy also serves on the Board of Trustees of Maine's internationally respected Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences and is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain.


Dr. Rebecca Bechhold

Dr. Bechhold practiced for over 30 years in Cincinnati as a partner in one of the largest private oncology groups in the country. The group had a robust clinical trials program and she headed several breast cancer trials. She also served on numerous professional and community organizations, edited the Medical Society magazine, was a writer for Cancer- a journal for oncologists, and a popular public speaker. She served as Medical Director for one of the largest hospice programs in the country for 27 years. She was named a Woman of the Year by the Cincinnati Enquirer and a Career Woman of Achievement by the YWCA.

Dr. Bechhold is passionate about helping cancer patients understand their disease and how to manage the treatment options to their best outcome.

She and her husband, Chris, raised two daughters.


Bonnie Hancock

Bonnie is a breast cancer survivor of 21 years who is passionate about helping other women as they navigate this difficult journey. She served on the Susan G. Komen Board of Directors for 6 years where she lobbied at the state and national levels for breast cancer reform. She was honored with the Charlene Daughtry Award for Outstanding Service.

She has been involved with breast health support and fundraising since her diagnosis. Over the last 15 years, she founded, championed and led two successful fundraisers in the Lowcountry, raising $1.4M!!

Bonnie is a founding member of Swing for the Lowcountry. She believes the charity is making a difference in the lives of local breast cancer patients.

She and her husband, Dan, have been married for 52 years, have 2 children and 3 granddaughters. Bonnie is a retired middle school teacher and a former tennis player that now enjoys pickleball as well as anything Gamecock!
